Mike skiing the opposite side of Loveland, just across I-70. We parked the car next to the highway and hiked to pretty much exactly 12,000 ft. (3.700 Meter)> We got the first faceshots of the season, but also hit some rocks. My ski boots didn't survive that trip...


Yesterday, we got a bunch of snow over night. What can I say winter wonderland...




The afternoon was Colorado weather, sunshine and fresh snow!

Today was such a beautiful afternoon that I hiked up the mountain a little bit. The pictures were taken at around 5pm.

I took some pretty cool pictures from my room and our balcony/porch. It's nice to live here... I'm thankful every day!

Gestern haben Mike und ich den neunten Monat des Jahres skifahrenderweise abgehakt. Jetzt sind es nur noch 3 Monate um ein komplettes Jahr jeden Monat auf den Skiern gestanden zu haben. Wir waren in der naehe von Winterpark, Co auf dem Skyscraper Peak. Wir mussten zunaechst ueber 20 km auf Schotterwegen zum Ausgangspunkt fahren (zum Glueck hab ich einen Jeep...). Auf dem Weg haben wir eine alte Bruecke aus Wildwest Zeiten gefunden, ich hab mich allerdings nicht ganz rueber getraut...

Mike and me went skiing in September on the way to complete a full year's worth of skiing. We went to a peak close to Winterpark, CO called Skyscraper. On the drive up we saw this old wild west bridge.



Die Sonnenbrille war eine Notloesung, weil ich meine natuerlich vergessen hatte...

The actual slope was a little steeper than what we thought.
Die "Piste" war etwas steiler als wie gedacht haben.



Der Schnee war obendrein auch noch schwer zu fahren weil ueberfroren und sehr dreckig.
The snow was pretty hard to ski, because it was frozen and pretty dirty.







Der Weg aus dem Tal zurueck zum Auto war auch etwas laenger als erwartet und so haben wir uns zwei Stunden durch dickes Gebuesch gekaempft. Dafuer war die Landschaft unglaublich.
The way out and back to the car was longer than anticipated, but very beautiful.

Heute morgen bei knapp ueberm Gefrierpunkt auf unserem Balkon.
